Creating a sales competition through Sparta is as easy as ABC.
Start by logging in to your account and clicking on the "Create Competition" link in the header as seen below.
Step 1: Add basic details
Fill in the details for your competition. You need to have a name, a short description, start and end date and of course what metrics and activities you want to measure.
You can track as many metrics/KPI’s as you like and you should weight them with different points. For example, a Booked Meeting could give you 5 points, a Sent Proposal could give you 15 points and a Closed Deal could be worth 30 points.
Step 2: Prizes & Teams
From there, you have an option to add prizes and also build a team-based competition. You can add as many teams as you like - and for each time, you should name the team and also add a team photo!
Step 3: Inviting Your Team
Once you’ve completed the form, simply click the big blue Create Competition button at the bottom.
You’ve now successfully created your competition! The next step is to simply double click and copy the URL that is presented to you. Send that link to all those who will participate in the competition. You can use the same link for all participants and you can of course send the link via Email or Skype etc.
After clicking on the link, the participants will be asked to create a profile, if they already don't have one from another competition.
Step 4: Registering Results
You’ll now be taken to the leaderboard, which will most likely of course be empty. Now, it’s time for your participants to start registering results.
To register an activity, or result simply click the Register button, in the top right hand side of the window. Simply choose the activity, add an optional comment and click Register.
Once the competition is up and running, your leaderboard should look something like this:
